ABOUT ME

A CREATIVE NON-FICTION WRITER. WHO WAS ALWAYS A POET FIRST AND FOREVER AN ARTIST AT HEART.

BORN IN TEXAS, RAISED IN THE NETHERLANDS, CAMILLE IS A BLACK (MIXED), QUEER FEM (SHE/HER) IDENTIFIED MOTHER. SHE IDENTIFIES AS LIVING WITH CHRONIC MENTAL ILLNESS & IS A RECENT OVARIAN CANCER SURVIVOR.

HER WRITING EXPLORES THE LANDSCAPE OF TRAUMA, HEALING, LOVE, PARENTING, AND WHAT IT MEANS TO LIVE AT THE INTERSECTION OF IDENTITIES THAT DON'T ALWAYS PLAY NICE WITH ONE ANOTHER.

A CURRENT MFA STUDENT AT GODDARD COLLEGE IN VERMONT, SHE IS NEARING THE COMPLETION OF HER DEBUT BOOK: A MEMOIR DEDICATED IN PART AS A LOVE LETTER TO HER SON AND ULTIMATELY TO HERSELF IN  BECOMING THE PARENT SHE NEVER HAD.

CAMILLE CURRENTLY LIVES IN THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DESERT. WHEN SHE IS NOT BUSY BUILDING FORTS WITH HER SON SHE IS REALLY INTO THE MOON CYCLES, LUCKY CHARMS CEREAL, AND ANDES MINTS ON HER PILLOW.
